The Quinte Irish Canadian Society is based in Belleville, Ontario, Canada. It was founded in 1979 in an attempt to promote interest in and encourage all people to celebrate Irish culture in all aspects. Some of the goals of the Society are: To preserve and transmit Irish music, singing and dance though lectures, concerts, socials, plays and classes in Irish music, language and dance and to have the Quinte Irish Hall become known as a theater of excellent quality and as a presenter of classes in Irish language and history, folklore and visual arts.
